i can only do them when i’m really focused. a friend of mine has them down to a science and he can flip them as high as he wants them to be. he told me that instead of putting your toes behind the front bolts and your heel kindof hanging off the board, put your foot/toe into the board more.

when you put your toe more at the edge of the board, you get a nice flip, but no height.

when you put your foot into the board more, it’s harder to flip, but your board levels out so that you can catch it with both feet. stomp it down.

putting your foot into the board more makes you ollie at the same time. i guess that goes with any trick, if you want height you have to ollie with it. and by ollie-ing with the trick, you need that slide up the board. can’t do that with your foot hanging off.

    hope this helps.

Make sure that you get both feet way up in the air after popping the tail. Make sure they are even height also. Try holding on to two handrails between a flat surface about 4 feet apart. This will let you learn the footwork without worrying about falling on concrete. Another thing I used to do when learning tricks was do the tricks on grass. Alot more cushion.
